SLAX is a small, bootable CD that runs the Linux operating system directly from the CD or USB without requiring installation. The Live CD being described here is built using the popular Slackware Linux distribution and can be downloaded as an ISO image directly from the website. All source code and scripts are available for anyone who wishes to create their own Live CD.
