StreamFX supports rich 3D audio, enhanced bass, and headphone/speaker audio adjustment, adding to the already powerful XMMS player. The installation is easy; simply read the LICENSE file, run xminstall.sh, and then run XMMS. To enable the Spatializer StreamFX plugin, click on the Effects/General Plugin tab folder and then click on the Effects selector button. If you don't see StreamFX as one of the options, please locate the correct directory where your XMMS plugins are stored, and you may also need to upgrade to the latest version of XMMS.
Once enabled, highlight the option and click on the Enable Plugin button on the Effects Plugin panel. Click the Configure button to bring up the StreamFX control panel, where you can start playing your mp3, wav, mod files and change various values shown on the StreamFX control panel
To use 3D-Stereo, adjust the space and center controls to control the amount of 3D-stereo sound and monaural (center) sound. V.i.B.E. provides Bass, which controls the amount of conventional bass-boost, and Virt. Bass, which controls the amount of virtual bass-boost. Color controls the timbre of the virtual bass. If you are using headphones, the Angle adjusts the position of "virtual loudspeakers," and you can choose to have them directly in front (mono), +/-45 degrees, or about +/-90 degrees.
