This SuperDrive Firmware Update enhances the reliability of accessing DVD and CD media.
I recently tried out the SuperDrive Firmware Update and found it to be incredibly efficient in delivering updated firmware for SuperDrive. This update helps to improve reliability when accessing DVD and CD media. The systems it caters to include Power Mac G5 (June 2004), Power Mac G5 (Late 2004), and eMac (USB 2.0).
The installation process was simple and easy to follow. All I had to do was follow the steps below:
1. Save all open documents and quit all applications.
2. Eject any disc that is in the SuperDrive by dragging the disc icon to the Trash.
3. Double-click the SuperDrive Firmware Update icon.
4. Type in your administrator password.
5. Click Update.
It is important to note that you should not reset, shut down, or turn off power to your computer while updating the firmware. Doing so may damage your SuperDrive.
