SCC (System Configuration Collector) is a software that collects configuration data of systems in snapshots. What makes SCC stand out is its ability to compare a new snapshot with the previous one and identify any changes in the configuration. Detected changes are logged in the logbook, which is preserved in an HTML format for ease of local inspection.
One of SCC's unique features is its ability to send snapshot files to a server running the SCC server software. The server generates summaries of the SCC-data and provides an interface to search/compare operations on the snapshots and logbooks via a web-interface.
