When you start playing, you'll see a table with multiple dishes of food placed on it. The icons of 12 family members will appear at the bottom of the screen. By hovering your mouse over the icons, you can check the preferences of each guest. Then, you can click and drag them to the most suitable seats. If you find that things aren't working out, you can always rearrange the seats by dragging the icons back to the bottom of the screen.
