TheAdmin is a software tool designed for administrators that work with OS X systems. This application is very user-friendly and is used to manage Dock items and preferences across multiple user accounts. An example of its usage is in a school setting where users require Firefox to be installed on their systems, and the admin must install it on all 15 different user accounts without passwords. Doing so would be time-consuming and unproductive.
The software comes equipped with modules that enable admins to manage different preferences and settings specific to certain applications such as the Dock, among others. Presently, version 1.0b23 only comes with two modules globally: Dock, which allows users to add, delete or rearrange items in their Dock, and Applications, which enables the application's preferences to be applied to selected accounts.
During the software's beta period, TheAdmin is free for use; however, it is designated to be a $10 shareware product after the beta period ends.
