Tic Tac Files is an updated version of an ancient thinking game that you can start playing right now. With this game, you can click and drag the token to move it within its belonging row or column. All tokens are visible and floating in a single layer over the colorful game board. The background fields are arranged in a unique CMean pattern of 3x3 fields, which consist of four pathways that are painted by different colors. The tokens are divided into four sets, each matching one pathway.
The Yin Yang token connects the fore layer (tokens) and the back layer (pathways) simultaneously, making it the background, token, and missing part of every set. The aim of the game is to match one set of tokens to one pattern color. Transparent tokens make it instinctively obvious, while new game mechanics add a refreshing surprise. You can move the game board, and completed tokens move from path to path instead of field to field. If a token gets pushed out of the game board, it immediately re-enters from the other side of the same row or column.
You can use hints to help you solve any game board position or set up an Auto-Hint option in the Setup Menu. There's no tutorial, and side displays show completed versus uncompleted token sets. A progress bar monitors overall chances to finish the game soon. A double click of the Yin Yang can switch between YY-Column and YY-Row. Additionally, there are backward and forward arrows to review all your moves, and the game is always saved.
