Tiny Tiny RSS

Tiny Tiny RSS is a server-side RSS feed aggregator that operates on PHP and is extensively based on XmlHttpRequest and related technologies for user interface and operation. As someone who has spent years searching for the perfect RSS aggregator, I have tried several desktop ones such as Straw, Blam!, and Liferea. Although these are nice programs, they usually lacked something and were either overburdened with features or unable to solve the problem of keeping read feeds in sync between different machines.

I also tried server-side aggregators, but unfortunately, nothing felt usable. They had all the problems associated with classical web applications— clunky interfaces, no real-time updates, and poor design. This led me to develop an aggregator myself, and I also felt the need to practice simple XmlHttpRequest web application programming, hence the birth of TT-RSS.

TT-RSS offers a lot of functionality of a desktop application while still being server-side with all the benefits it provides. Although still in the early stages of development and largely unfinished, it promises a lot to its users. It is efficient, practical, and designed to meet the unique needs of people who demand the best from their RSS aggregator.
