Ventrilo Sounds is a free soundset for Adium, based on the Ventrilo sound theme. It offers multiple sounds for Disconnecting, Connecting, New Messages, and Status Changes with additional sounds.
I recently had the pleasure of trying Ventrilo Sounds, a free software soundset inspired by the highly popular Ventrilo sound theme. As someone who uses Adium regularly, I was excited to try out something new and custom.
One thing that impressed me about this soundset was the abundance of options. There are at least two unique sounds for each of the categories: Disconnecting, Connecting, New Messages, and Status Changes. Additionally, there are a few other miscellaneous sounds that add a fun touch to the overall experience.
The sounds themselves are well-composed and appropriate for their respective categories. I especially appreciated the audible cues for when someone disconnects or connects to a chat, as well as the unique sounds for status changes. All in all, this is a great soundset that adds some much-needed personalization to a common Adium feature. I highly recommend giving Ventrilo Sounds a try.
