Waterlily

Waterlily is a GUI and front-end for Lilypond, but it is unlike other programs like NoteEdit. As someone who frequently uses Lilypond, I have found that I typically have to keep three separate windows open in order to accomplish what I need. The first is for the Konsole to run the Lilypond command. The second is dedicated to locating the directory where the PDF file I am creating is being saved so that I can easily access it. Lastly, I keep a Kate window open for editing the *.ly file.

However, with Waterlily, users no longer need to juggle different windows as it effortlessly combines all these functions into a single, user-friendly interface. This program has features that enable users to load, save, create, view, and print different files with ease. Overall, Waterlily is an excellent tool that simplifies the process of using Lilypond.
