This software is a forked version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 under the terms and conditions of its EULA. While there may be some remaining packaging problems and bugs, these issues are solely the responsibility of the White Box Linux effort and should not reflect on the quality of Red Hat’s commercial product. If you need a fully tested and supported OS, it's recommended to purchase Red Hat’s box set.

There has been extensive effort to remove all of Red Hat’s trademarks and logos from this product. If any remain, users are encouraged to report them so that they can be removed promptly. The main objective of this project is to deliver an unencumbered RPM based Linux distribution that offers enough compatibility with Red Hat Linux to support easy upgrades and interoperability with their Errata srpms.

Users can expect the software to avoid upgrades until Oct 2008 since RHEL promises Errata availability for five years from its initial release date, which was Oct 2003. In short, this software serves as a bridge between Fedora and RHEL, making it an ideal choice for users who need a reliable yet affordable Linux distribution with satisfactory performance.
