YAWMPPP simplifies ISP hookup by serving as a WindowMaker dock application that functions as a pppd frontend.
YAWMPPP is a dockapp designed for WindowMaker, though it does also work with other window managers. Its main purpose is to act as a frontend for pppd, thus simplifying ISP hookup. Connecting is as easy as clicking on the v button, while disconnecting is accomplished by clicking the x button. Selecting an ISP entry is easily done using the arrow buttons.
YAWMPPP boasts several key features, including the ability to work with Linux, NetBSD, and FreeBSD. It also displays connection time, supports multiple ISP entries with a maximum of 40, and provides an LED display showing both RX/TX (send/receive) as well as status (on, dialing, off). Additionally, it includes a PPP load graph and speed indicator, manages DNS servers automatically (on Linux systems), and provides easy GUI dialup entry setup.
