4D Quiz is an efficient Dashboard widget designed to access a remote SQL database containing all the commands available in 4th Dimension database language. The software then retrieves the most relevant search results and presents them in an easy-to-read format within Dashboard.
Each search listing is connected to a detailed webpage, which includes information about the specific command, technote, sample database, component, or plug-in. Future updates will add an offline version that caches search results for easy access later on.
When a user searches for a keyword, such as "process," and clicks on one of the options, like "PROCESS HTML TAGS," the widget will launch a web browser containing detailed information on that specific command. Future updates will include a dynamic view of the command/keyword for added convenience.
Additional key features of 4D Quiz include the ability to search from the 4D website or Google, cached searches when offline, fetching results from 4D Write commands, 4D Internet commands, and third-party plug-ins, and customizable preferences for search rankings, 4D version, and language.
A copy to clipboard button is also included, allowing users to easily paste command syntax directly into their 4D method.
