If you have any knowledge in newer kernel implementations or can patch support yourself, the team would appreciate your contribution.
Finally, it's important to note that the ACPICPUThrottle driver DOES NOT WORK ON ALL LAPTOP HARDWARE. If your BIOS is brain dead and does not report possible power states for your CPU or reports only two power states, and one of those is below 1Ghz, the driver will refuse to load.
