AKVIS Chameleon is a user-friendly software designed for efficient photo collage creation. Its unique feature allows inserted objects to blend seamlessly with the environment, making it a suitable tool for creating high-quality collages. The software offers four collage creation modes and doesn't require precise object selection.

The software offers four modes that allow you to create different types of collages with ease. The Montage Mode is particularly useful for pasting people into a new background while preserving their original color range and opacity. The Chameleon Mode, on the other hand, adapts the pasted fragment to the color range and smooths the object's borders - much like a chameleon adapts to its environment.
The Blend Mode makes the object semi-transparent, allowing for a rather unique look that blends the pasted image with the primary image. The final mode, Emersion Mode, embeds the pasted fragment into the background for a more subtle and delicate effect.
The entire program is user-friendly and straightforward, which makes it easy to handle without requiring any precise selection of objects. AKVIS Chameleon is quite versatile, and can be used in a variety of ways, including creating customized postcards for loved ones, designing a wedding album using different photos and backgrounds, or correcting closed eyes by implanting open eyes from another photo in the series.
Thanks to its standalone version, AKVIS Chameleon can be used as an independent program, or as a plugin to a photo editor. Overall, I found Chameleon to be an ingenious and entertaining way to create captivating photo collages. It's a powerful tool that I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for an efficient way to create seamless photo montages.
Version 8.0: Version 8.0 presents the Guidelines which help you to position the fragment on the background image. The new version is compatible with Mac OS X 10.8.
