Amplitude Imposer

I recently tried out Amplitude Imposer, a nifty software tool that allows you to impose the amplitude envelope of one stereo input onto another. It's especially helpful when you need to amplify up the second signal when it falls below a certain threshold.

One of the best features of Amplitude Imposer is that it allows you to set the threshold level to amplify the second signal. When it drops, it's amplified back up to the threshold for a much greater signal to be amplitude modulated. You can even set it to amplify the second signal to provide a more consistent level.

How it works is that Amplitude Imposer reverses the process of a compressor by amplifying the signal when it falls below the threshold level. It's useful to note that this can highlight any low-level noise in the signal quickly. So, it's best to use it with a flexible host that allows for 4 inputs and 2 outputs for an effect.

However, Amplitude Imposer is licensed and provided under the terms of the MIT License. With 4 inputs and 2 outputs, it may not work with every host, but it should work just fine with a modular host like Tracktion. Overall, I found Amplitude Imposer to be an impressive tool that delivers on its promises.
