I recently stumbled upon AMPLE, a simple MP3 server written in C, and let me tell you, this software is a game-changer. In case you were wondering, AMPLE stands for "A MP3 LEnder" and it was created to solve the problem of having to constantly FTP my MP3 files from my home server to my work computer just to listen to them.

Plus, the servername is now a config option and the DEF_LOGFILE has been changed (it previously pointed to ample.conf instead of ample.log). Additionally, there's been much work on autoconf stuff, making it compatible with a wider array of architectures.
