Anonycat

Anonycat is a web-based software designed to surf the web anonymously and bypass overly restrictive corporate firewalls or monitoring/blocking software. This software can be accessed online, or can be run as a local service on your own webserver.

The installation process is incredibly user-friendly; there is no need to edit or configure anything. All you have to do is place the downloads in the correct directory, and you should be good to go. This version of Anonycat only acts as a proxy for light content (html, xhtml, css, js), so bandwidth usage should not be an issue for home users.

If you want to run Anonycat on your own computer, you will need to install a webserver that can host servlets, such as Tomcat. Once you have installed the webserver, download the Anonycat and parserlib jar files. These files should be placed in the tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/lib folder (unless you would like to configure a new web-application folder).

After installing Anonycat, you will be able to run the software through the following URL: http://[your ip address]:8080/servlet/varsitech.anonycat.AnonycatServlet. Overall, Anonycat is easy to use and can be incredibly helpful for getting around internet restrictions.
