Aria2fe is a GUI for the CLI-based program aria2, designed using C++/Qt for the GNU Unix/Posix/Linux platform. It can construct command line syntax and arguments from a point and click environment, launching aria2 via xterm with download progress monitoring done through xterm. Once aria2 has been started, aria2fe can be closed, freeing up system resources. The chance for errors when constructing the syntax is reduced since aria2fe delivers a syntactically correct command line every time, aided by visualization of the command line construction. Additionally, command line configurations can be saved and reloaded.
Aria2 is a high-speed download utility supporting resuming, segmented downloading, and various protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS/FTP and BitTorrent.
