If you're in the market for recording software, look no further than ASork Live Music Studio. This live CD is constructed with Debian GNU/Linux using Morphix, a combination that makes for a highly functional piece of software. It can be used as a standalone studio or integrated into a more complex setup. Here are just a few of the key features you can expect when working with ASork Live Music Studio:

- Hard disk recorder
- MIDI composition tools
- Drum loop programs
- Vocoder
- Other real-time effect processing tools

You can boot and run the software directly from a CD-ROM, or you can install it to your hard disk using Morphixinstaller. Either way, the Linux audio architecture such as jack and alsa are pre-configured and easy to install.
One thing to note is that there is no default root password set with ASork Live Music Studio, so users will need to make use of sudo for any super user privileges. To get started with this, simply execute these commands in a terminal: sudo sh passwd exit su

If you want to install ASork Live Music Studio to your hard disk, you'll need to start a terminal and get root privileges (as described above). Once that's done, you'll execute the command for starting the installer: morphixinstaller.

ASork Live Music Studio also allows for keyboard configuration in X. To switch your x-windows-system to use another keyboard layout, execute "setxkbmap ". If you want to set it to use a Swedish keyboard, for example, execute: setxkbmap se

For audio applications that don't communicate directly with the soundcard, Jack is most commonly used as an interface that enables multiple applications to output sound simultaneously. Before starting applications such as ardour and jack-rack, you'll need to manually start jack. To launch jack's graphical control, simply use the command: qjackctl. To start jack in a terminal, use the command: jackd -d alsa. Additionally, there is a shortcut in the menu named "Jack Control" that provides a graphical interface for the jack server. You might need to configure jack from this program to ensure it runs smoothly on your system.

If you're using an NVIDIA video card, you can boot ASork Live Music Studio with the boot option xmodule set to nvidia. From the grub boot menu, select More Boot Options->NV driver. The same process applies to VESA cards; simply select More Boot Options->VESA driver in the grub boot loader.

Overall, ASork Live Music Studio is an excellent choice for anyone in need of top-notch recording software. It's easy to install, offers a variety of key features, and provides a user-friendly graphical interface.
