Astral Tournament is an action-packed software that lets you engage in a magical duel with other mages, either computer-controlled or human, using creatures and spells. You will be fighting for control of the magical plane, and the creatures and spells that you will use belong to five different magical elements including Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and Death.
At the beginning of the game, each mage has 50 life points, and five magic element powers that affect the spells and creatures you can cast as well as their power. For instance, if your Fire power is five, you're restricted to cast fire spells and summon fire creatures with level five or less. Each time you cast a spell or summon a creature with level X, your appropriate element power reduces by X; and each turn, your powers will be increased by 1.
Each creature comes with two stats: attack strength and life number. When the creature attacks the player or another creature, it reduces the attacked player's or creature's life by the hit or attack strength that the attacking creature possesses, and if that life is reduced to zero, the creature dies. The ultimate goal of the game is to defeat your opponent by reducing their life number from 50 to zero.
