Astro::SolarParallax is a Perl software module that aims to help users in finding the Solar Parallax from Venus Transit. The module comes with a set of SYNOPSIS that can be used as a reference to provide users an easier time using it.

To utilize this software module, users will have to include the following modules: Astro::SolarParallax::Observer, Astro::SolarParallax, and Geo::Coordinates.

Astro::SolarParallax::Observer and Astro::SolarParallax are both objects of the software module. In this case, $obs1 and $obs2 are objects of Geo::Coordinates. Additionally, the user must set the longitudes and latitudes values to be able to get the right measurement.

Furthermore, contact points such as the times of the first and fourth contact must also be declared with their respective values. Once all these necessary parameters are set, the software will return the AU values or the distance to the sun in kilometers by calling $measurement->AU.

Astro::SolarParallax is specifically designed to compute the solar parallax from planetary transits, using a method developed by F. Mignard, solely for the transit of Venus on 2004-06-08. This software module has an object-oriented interface that makes it easier for users to access and utilize its features.

For the constructor of this class, the class takes two observers, as arguments, which are two objects of the Astro::SolarParallax::Observer class. The method new($obs1, $obs2) is essentially the constructor and creates an instance of the class.

Finally, to obtain the distance to the sun in kilometers, based on the measurements done by the two observers given to the constructor, users need to call the AU(@contacts) method. This method is responsible for returning the AU values. The arguments for the method are the contact points, which need to be arranged in ascending order.

The constraints that apply to Astro::SolarParallax::Observer must also be observed while using this software module. Overall, the Astro::SolarParallax software module is a reliable and efficient tool for computing solar parallax from the transit of a planet.
