AudioSlimmer is a user-friendly audio converter tool that enables users to create Windows Media Audio 8 files from MP3 or WAV formats. It can decode WAV from MP3, play music, manage files, convert groups of files, extract sections of audio files, and comes equipped with an ID3Tag editor and file rename functionality.

Advanced ID3Tag editor for MP3 and WMA files is included, which means you can rename files automatically using ID3Tag information. The software produces WMA files encoded with the revolutionary Windows Media Audio 8 format. This provides CD-Quality Audio at half the size of MP3, capturing more of the original WAV audio file than MP3 or Real Audio 8.
The WMA files created by AudioSlimmer can be played using Windows Media Player 7 and 6.4 for Windows and Mac, while Winamp and all consumer devices that support Windows Media Audio today already support Windows Media Audio 8 with no need for an upgrade in technology. AudioSlimmer supports various file formats, including MPEG-1 Layer3 (MP3), WaveAudio (WAV), and Windows Media Audio (WMA).
Some features of AudioSlimmer include MP3 files conversion to WM Audio8 format, WAV files conversion to WM Audio8 format, decoding MP3 files into WAV files, and automatic detection/manual setting of audio quality. AudioSlimmer also automatically calculates the resulting file size depending on audio quality, allows for conversion of the entire file, conversion only for a specified section, and has an embedded enhanced player for MP3, WAV, and WMA.
This software has an ID3Tag editor that reads Id3v1 and ID3v2 tags and saves them to ID3v1 e WMA8 standards. It also allows for automatic file renaming from ID3Tag information, list of more recent used folders, and file management functions such as move, delete, rename, copy file, explore folder. AudioSlimmer is available in English and Italia.
