AVM ETS is made up of simple scripts that effectively get the job done. The live Linux distribution used is Slax, with Fluxbox instead of KDE, making the tool light and the ISO small. The throughput test scripts use the excellent Iperf tool to measure performance, and the live statistics are done with Conky. Best of all, all software used in AVM ETS is 100% OpenSource.
