To get started, simply install the plugin and head to the Adium Status menu. From there, select "Edit status menu..." and click the "+" symbol to create a new custom away status. Give your status message a title - perhaps something like "Haiku" - and add the text you want to include. Make sure to check the "Auto-reply" box, and then also check "With a custom auto-reply message".
In the "custom reply" field, simply add "%_Awayku", and then click "OK".
