Batch Scan to email software helps increase productivity in document distribution by allowing users to scan files in batches to email, FTP sites, and network folders using a cover page.

The software works by separating documents and placing a bar-coded separator page on top of the file. Similar to a fax cover page, the separator page contains an email address for easy identification. Once the documents are separated, they are stacked and scanned with a copier’s scan to folder option in a batch process. This allows the user to take full advantage of the copier's speed with no stopping or starting.
The scanned files are then sent to a "Watched Folder". When a file arrives, the bar code is read, the separator page is dropped, and each page after the separator is added to the document until another separator page is found. Once the file is completely separated, the software converts the files to a PDF (or allows them to remain as tiff images) and applies a set of rules to the barcode for proper distribution.
Rules enable the file to be placed in a folder on the network or an ftp site with the email address recipient receiving an email containing a hyperlink to the file. If there is no rule, the file will be sent as an attachment to the user. Rules can be stacked for more than one to apply to a file. With Batch Scan to email, document distribution becomes a breeze!
