Block Shifter

As a software reviewer, I had the chance to try out a seemingly basic but incredibly captivating game known as Colored Blocks. The goal of the game is to eliminate all the colored blocks from the playing field. The user can achieve this by maneuvering the blocks strategically to form a horizontal or vertical line of three blocks of the same color. Once this line gets formed, it disappears from the playing field, and the blocks above it cascade down.

Swapping two blocks in Colored Blocks is a simple task; the user just needs to click on the left mouse button when the mouse is positioned over the block. On the other hand, To shift a row or column of blocks, the user can click on the arrows, which do the trick. The real challenge of the game is to clear the board with as few shifts and block swaps as possible.

What's even more exciting is that the software developers have kept track of the scores for all the users. The game records the top 10 scores for all the difficulty levels, which further adds to the game's appeal. Users will need a Pentium or 80486 system or higher for this game, with 256+ colors and 1.3+ Meg of available space. The Ray-traced blocks in Colored Blocks look stunning in high-color or true-color displays. In conclusion, Colored Blocks is a straightforward, yet entertaining game that can keep users hooked for hours.
