Boinx iVeZeen

Boinx iVeZeen is an excellent piece of software that allows you to record film clips in DV format with ease. With its simple user interface, you can quickly and effortlessly click on the record button to begin recording the iSight video signal to a movie file in your home directory. Once you've stopped the recording, the clip is instantly available for you to import into iMovie or Final Cut Express. And if you need to create another clip, simply click Record again.

To use this software, you'll need QuickTime 6.4 or later, with QuickTime 7.x strongly recommended. Additionally, the Apple external iSight is fully supported, while the built-in iSight is also supported but with limited control over visual settings. Other IIDC, FireWire or USB Webcams may work, but some features may not be available, and you may need a 3rd party QuickTime driver purchased separately.

It's important to note that while this software is excellent at what it does, controlling the built-in iSight camera currently isn't supported via the drawer. However, this shouldn't detract from the overall value of the software. So if you're looking for a reliable and easy-to-use way to record and edit film clips, Boinx iVeZeen is an excellent choice.
