Boom Recorder can sync against a timecode signal read from any audio channel, or use wall clock time when no timecode signal is available. Additionally, long recordings can be broken up in 2 GB chunks. Boom Recorder also supports multi-polyphonic file handling which allows multiple copies of audio in any combination of mono, stereo, and polyphonic audio files.
With Boom Recorder, you get to store metadata such as project, scene, take, roll, date, and track names. There's also a QuickTime component for reading Boom Recorder's BWF files with timecode into Final Cut Pro. The software also supports XML sound reports which can be printed from Safari or Firefox.
