The Brick Out project is a game clone of the classic "Breakout" designed for the Agenda VR3 PDA. The objective of the game is to move the paddle back and forth to bounce a ball around the screen and use it to break all of the bricks at the top of the screen.

Although the game was primarily created with the Agenda VR3 PDA in mind, it is compatible with any device that supports Xlib. This includes Agenda, Zaurus, and iPAQ PDAs running Linux, as well as Linux desktop systems.

The game boasts a number of features that make it engaging and entertaining for players. These include the ability to control the paddle with either a stylus or buttons, the presence of multiple levels, and sound effects that add to the immersive experience.

The game is also designed to be convenient for players, allowing them to pause and resume the game even after quitting. The latest release of the game includes a number of updates and improvements. These include:

- The creation of a libSDL version
- The addition of Makefile targets for libSDL version for host ("host-sdl")
- The change of Makefile target for the X-Window version for host to "host-x"
- The creation of Makefile targets for libSDL version for Sharp Zaurus ("zaurus")
- A new default Makefile target that simply lists all available targets
- A bug fix that eliminates the issue where the level "-" button was dark even though the level was greater than 1 when returning to the title screen.
- The creation of a color version of graphics for the SDL version
- Fixing the issue where the paused game is cancelled if [-] or [+] clicked when they are unavailable
- The ability to start the game with [Space] or [Enter] on the title screen
- The ability to change the starting level with [Left] and [Right] arrow keys
- The addition of a flicker effect when a brick is hit (SDL version only)
- The addition of more levels
- The inclusion of sound effects (SDL version only)
- The addition of music (SDL version only).
