Briefcase

I recently tried out the Briefcase software and found it to be a valuable addition to my font management tools. This AppleScript is designed to simplify the process of managing fonts on a Mac computer. As someone who no longer uses Suitcase or Master Juggler, I was intrigued by the promises of Briefcase.

To get started with Briefcase, it's helpful to know that it works by moving font suitcases in and out of the fonts folder. I simply added Briefcase to the Universal Scripts folder in the OSA menu and was able to access it quickly and easily whenever I needed to enable or disable fonts.

One interesting discovery I made while using Briefcase is that QuarkXPress can actually update font information on-the-fly, despite what the system message might say. This was a pleasant surprise that I was happy to share with fellow users.

Overall, I found Briefcase to be an effective tool for managing fonts on my Mac. Its straightforward approach and ease of use make it a great choice for users looking for a no-frills solution to font management.
