Capriccio

Capriccio is a software that offers users the ability to choose from various GTK, Metacity, and Emerald themes. To install, simply right-click on your desktop and select "Change Desktop Background". Then, click on the "Theme" tab and drag and drop the theme's archive into the "Appearance Preferences" window. If the installation is successful, you will receive a confirmation message and be able to activate the theme by simply clicking on it.

This software is based on GNOME, an international community that is dedicated to building a complete desktop environment. This interface is designed to be used on top of a computer's operating system and is made entirely from free software. The overall goal is to create software development frameworks, select application software for the desktop, and work on the programs that manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management.

GNOME is a part of the GNU Project which can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, as well as being part of the Java Desktop System in Solaris. The name originally stood for "GNU Network Object Model Environment", but this acronym is now considered deprecated. The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things "just work".
