With realtime gameplay and various auxiliary objects such as sources of life, stones, food and poison, the colonies' behavior is unpredictably amusing.
The goal of the game is to capture control over the chaos with a wide range of objectives to choose from, such as destroying one colony by adding cells to another, struggling for life, space or food, and suppressing aggressiveness of enemy life sources, among others.
