ChemDraw to Tiff is a software that allows you to easily convert ChemDraw files to TIFF format. This AppleScript is available for free and can be stored in "Macintosh HD:Library:Scripts:Folder Actions". The next step is to attach the script to a folder. Create a new folder and name it "Images". Once you have the folder in place, control-click (or right click), and select the contextual menu.
You must enable Folder Actions to use this software. By default, Folder Actions is not enabled. To enable it, select "Enable Folder Actions" from the contextual menu. This will enable Folder Actions system-wide. Once you have enabled Folder Actions, select the contextual menu again and click on "Attach a Folder Action". Browse to and select "Convert_ChemDraw_to_TIFF".
The software is now ready to use. Draw a structure in ChemDraw and save it to the "Images" folder. The script should be activated, and it will create two folders (the first time it is used) "Original CD Files" and "TIFF Images". Your original ChemDraw image will be saved in "Original CD Files", and a copy of the image in TIFF format will be saved in "TIFF Images".
