ClickCopy X

ClickCopy X is a software that makes copying and pasting files on Mac OS X a whole lot easier. Normally, in Finder, you would need to have both folder windows open to drag-and-drop files from one folder to another. But, with ClickCopy X, you can copy files from the source folder and paste them anywhere without having the source folder open. And not only that, but you can also make aliases, move files to a different location, and work with selected files.

ClickCopy X has its own internal buffer for the copied file objects. But, it can also use the file objects from Finder’s Clipboard. This software can be configured with custom menu item text to support your favorite menu item names and languages, and can also enable selected menu items.

With ClickCopy X installed, you can paste, make alias, or move a copied file in many different ways. For example, control + click anywhere in an open destination window, control + click a folder or disk, or control + click an alias if the selected alias points to a folder or disk. And if you copy multiple file objects in Finder, you can also process individual items or open a file selection window to pick the files you want to process.

ClickCopy X also includes a detailed file replacement warning if the processed file already exists in the destination. This feature is similar to the copy and paste commands in context menus that have been available for Microsoft Windows systems for quite some time.
