CmapTools

CmapTools is a powerful program that empowers users to construct, navigate, share and criticize knowledge models in the form of concept maps. It is loaded with many features including the ability to construct Cmaps on personal computers, share them on servers known as CmapServers, connect their Cmaps to others on servers, and create web pages of concept maps. Users can edit their maps in real-time with other users on the internet and search for relevant information on the web.

The software has been translated into seventeen different languages including Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Basque, Finnish, French, Galician, German, Italian, Japanese, Kuna, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. The default language is that of the operating system but can be changed from the Preferences menu item. CmapTools is a free client available for use by anyone, be it commercial or non-commercial. Schools and universities are particularly encouraged to download and install it on as many computers as they desire.
