CRM114 Discriminator

CRM114 is a powerful software system designed to efficiently examine incoming e-mails, data files, and other data streams. With CRM114, users can sort, filter, or alter incoming files and data streams according to their wildest desires. The system uses several criteria for the classification of data, including search patterns, Bayesian Chain Rule evaluator, Hidden Markov Model, among others. In particular, the accuracy of the SBPH/BCR classifier is impressive, with records exceeding 99% for 1/4 MB of learning text. Essentially, CRM114 has a learning capacity that's unmatched, and it learns fast.

Another great feature of CRM114 is that it's compatible with SpamAssassin or other spam-flagging software. It can also be used as a syslog or firewall log filter to alert users to important events while ignoring insignificant ones. CRM114 runs on Linux, BSD, Mac OS-X, and Windows (natively and with Cygwin), and it has even been integrated with Microsoft Outlook and QUALCOMM Eudora. CRM114 comes licensed under the GPL; however, it's still experimental, and users must exercise caution when using it. Therefore, it is explicitly stated that it is WITHOUT WARRANTY of ANY KIND, and it is BETA/FIELD TEST QUALITY. Nevertheless, the software has six different classifiers available, making it easy to switch between them to see what the tradeoffs are.

The latest release features an improved learning system (mailtrainer.crm) for faster convergence and higher accuracy. OSB classification, mailreaver and reavercacheing have been made the default configurations. Users can send bug reports to improve the software further, and even better, send in improvements that can be dual-licensed for mutual use. This latest release is highly recommended for all new and upgrade installs.
