Cyclotram Slim

Cyclotram Slim is a modification of the "Cyclotram" theme with thinner outlines around all the various theme elements. If you were one of the people that thought the original Cyclotram was "cartoon-like" or "good for kids," then this version could be for you. Cyclotram Slim provides a more serious look while maintaining the same functionality as the original theme.

Installing Cyclotram Slim is easy. On your desktop, right-click and select Change Desktop Background. Click on the first tab, Theme, and then drag and drop the theme's archive into the Appearance Preferences window. If everything is okay, you will receive a confirmation message, and you can activate the theme just by clicking on it.

GNOME is an international effort to build a complete desktop environment. This graphical user interface sits on top of a computer operating system and is entirely from free software. GNOME has several goals, including creating software development frameworks, selecting application software for the desktop, and working on the programs which manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management.

GNOME is part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, most notably Linux, and as part of Java Desktop System in Solaris. The name originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, though this acronym is deprecated. The GNOME project puts heavy emphasis on simplicity, usability, and making things "just work." With Cyclotram Slim, you get all of the benefits of GNOME with an updated and sleek appearance.
