DaDaBIK

The DaDaBIK project is an excellent PHP application that allows you to create a customizable front-end for a database, with advanced features like search, update, insert, and delete records. With just a few configuration parameters, you can easily customize DaDaBIK to work with your database.

Starting from version 4.0 alpha, DaDaBIK uses the ADOdb Database Abstraction Library to support as many DBMS as possible, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.

DaDaBIK's real power lies in its high level of customization. You can choose what fields to include or exclude in the search, insert, update form and results table. You can set labels for each field, specify content format (numeric, alphabetic, e-mail, URL...), and decide input types like date, text, select, password, and more!

DaDaBIK also handles multiple tables, file uploading, CSV export, duplication check during insert, and authorization and authentication restrictions. You can even customize the graphic layout of DaDaBIK to embed its forms in your own site.

DaDaBIK targets end-users rather than database administrators. It's essentially a simpler and customized web application that manages tables while allowing search/insert/update/delete operations. The software is obtainable in Italian, English, Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Croatian, Polish, Catalan, Estonian, Rumanian, Hungarian, and Slovak.

DaDaBIK distinguishes itself from other applications like PHPMyAdmin because it doesn't give complete database administration access but, rather, supplies a straightforward method to create a simple and adaptable web application that manages a group of tables.
