DatAxe is an adaptable software solution for converting serial data and TCP/IP on Windows systems. With the ability to make serial data accessible over TCP/IP networks and TCP/IP data over physical and virtual serial ports, DatAxe can meet all your data conversion needs.

Featuring support for two transport data stream protocols, namely Raw Connection and Telnet, datAxe provides full two-way I/O control over your serial instruments - this includes any instrument you can plug into the RS232, RS422 or RS485 serial port on your PC - letting you seamlessly integrate these with your local area network (LAN) or the internet. What this does is allow you to transfer, send and receive serial data across remote computers, devices and applications, all via datAxe.
One of datAxe's standout features is that it allows you to create virtual ports that are configurable to communicate with TCP/IP-based networks. Alongside this, datAxe's incredible duplAxe component makes it possible to build and start virtual serial port pair, or COM port pair, which also makes it possible for local applications to directly exchange serial data, providing them an added layer of functionality.
In terms of utility, datAxe's Comport application is its main highlight, which when used, allows any computer connected to the same network to easily send and receive serial data across a remote serial port which is connected to the PC where Comport is running. You can connect to a remote serial port through a TCP/IP port. Comport can be utilized to pass serial data across a corporate intranet or over the internet, with multiple sessions capable of running simultaneously, all with different serial ports. With datAxe, you never have to worry about compatibility issues again.
Version 2.2: Implemented the Control API for Serial-Line Redirector (demo). Implementation examples both of usual API (to be used from user's C/C++ programs) and COM (OLE) interface (to be used from different procedures like Web, VBS, HTML, ...) are given.
