If you're looking for a simple alarm clock software, Dave's Stupid Alarm Clock might be the one for you. This software is designed to wake you up with music at certain times just like a standard alarm clock.

One of its key features is the ability to set multiple alarms for any day of the week. Each alarm can also be enabled or disabled, making it more customizable. It also has a snooze feature, which is perfect for those who need extra minutes of sleep.

Another noteworthy feature of this software is its m3u playlist support. Plus, it uses external programs for music playing, so it works well and can be easily configured. There's also an automatic mixer that cranks every mixer channel to maximum when it's time for the alarm to go off, and then restores to all of its previous values.

Dave's Stupid Alarm Clock also has logging capabilities and doesn't require too many resources, making it a great choice for those who are looking for a lightweight alarm clock software to use on their computer. Plus, it comes with a system tray application, which is handy if you want to keep it running in the background.

The software has a few limitations, such as the mixer not always restoring properly and the timer thread throwing an exception if the GUI takes too long to start. However, these issues are easy to fix and will be addressed in the PyQt4 port.

To use Dave's Stupid Alarm Clock, you'll need to have Python 2.4 or higher, PyQt3, and Python's ctypes module (standard in Python 2.5) installed on your computer. Keep in mind that if you have the clock autostart when you log in, the system tray icon may not always appear correctly, but this will also be addressed in the PyQt4 port.

Overall, Dave's Stupid Alarm Clock is a simple and reliable alarm clock software that can help ensure you wake up on time.
