The Digital Forensic Live CD (DFLCD) is a comprehensive collection of forensic tools developed by the team from digitaalonderzoeker.nl. This Live CD is bootable from any system and is designed for computer investigation purposes. Its aim is to centralize all forensic tools which digital detectives can use in an investigation, so it eliminates the need for individual software installations.
You don't need to install the Live CD on your system, but you have the option to install the complete system on your own system, which will be added in one of the next releases. The Live CD is based on the Linux system, which is primarily used in forensic analysis applications. You also have the option to use the Live CD on a live-system, since the CD includes a Windows side that allows you to do a live-investigation with various tools, as described on the tools page.
