Djalog

Djalog is a logging wrapper that provides a ready-to-use logger. It is a very simple logger and if you're looking for something more advanced, then you may want to give this a try. To install Djalog, you can use setuptools or the most recent version by running the specified commands. However, note that you will need mercurial as it is used as the version control system for this project. Djalog requires the logging module which is available from Python 2.3.

If you want to quickly check how Djalog works, you can import it to your favorite Python shell and type in the specified logging commands. You can also change the settings of Djalog using the Djalog.configure method. For a full list of available settings, see DjalogSettings.

Djalog is the simplest possible approach for Django logging and can be easily used outside of the Django context. However, it uses internal mechanisms of the logging module which may not always be desirable. For example, it switches logging.root logger with djalog.loggers.DjalogLogger or adds a simple sql method to the logging module if LOG_SQL is set to True (see DjalogSql).
