DKP Log Parser (DKPLP) is a tool for administering time-based and/or event-based DKP reward systems.
DKP Log Parser (DKPLP) is a software tool designed to efficiently manage time-based and/or event-based DKP reward systems in conjunction with EQDKP (or any other DKP software with required interface implementation). This project is highly configurable to be compatible with any game that generates any kind of log. Currently, it has predefined pattern sets available for games like EverQuest, EverQuest2, and World of Warcraft (with CT RaidTracker). For players of other games, they can either write new patterns themselves or post a query on the forum (with a sample log included for better understanding).
DKP Log Parser aims to minimize the administrative overhead of maintaining complex DKP reward systems. It parses logs, calculates the DKP for each individual, and directly transmits the results (such as the loot, raids, participants, and DKP) to EQDKP (or other DKP software). DKP Log Parser is a software application that runs on a user's desktop (Windows or Unix). After the completion of a raid, the program reads the game log, parses it and displays the data to the administrators for verification. After validating the data, the administrator uploads the information from their desktop to the DKP Log Parser plugin on an EQDKP webserver (or any other server that includes required DKPLP interface implementation), making it available for all members of the DKP system to view.
