DNA Baser software by Heracle BioSoft provides affordable and effective tools for analyzing DNA sequences. The program allows for the determination of nucleotide proportions and facilitates the assembly and generation of contigs in supported file formats (abi, scf, seq, and FASTA).

Developed by Heracle BioSoft, DNABaser is an affordable alternative for DNA sequence assembly and the generation of contigs. The software supports various file formats, including abi, scf, and seq (or FASTA), and chromatograms of the assembled sequences are displayed in a synchronized format with the generated contig.
DNABaser highlights ambiguous bases in the contig and suggests corrections based on Quality Values of the trace files, requiring minimal input from the user. Editing of ambiguous bases, including insertion and deletion, is possible, and the assembly engine's settings can be easily adjusted by the user.
The software user can personalize the appearance of chromatograms, nucleotides, and background, and the Quality Values of the trace files are displayed above chromatograms, making it easier to decide on the corrections in the final contig. Original chromatogram files are automatically trimmed based on Quality Values, and the contig is saved in FASTA format in the same directory as the original trace files.
One of the exciting features of DNABaser is that it uses a built-up database of primer and vector sequences that can be edited and upgraded by the user. This feature enables DNABaser to automatically trim the vector sequence out of the final contig.
At only 490 USD per single license, DNABaser is also an affordable software option for DNA sequencing, and significant discounts are offered for institutions that order several licenses of DNABaser. For more information on pricing, check out the pricing policy on the Heracle BioSoft website.
