The 1-click Timer software, also known as the DON'T Let It Burn! script, functions as a simple alarm clock with minimal features.
While there are better alternatives to this software, DON'T Let It Burn! is not supposed to be an alarm clock, but rather an essential tool for the computer-addicted individuals. For instance, it's perfect for those who work on their computers while cooking or baking. Users can rely on the software to remind them of their food by setting the timer for a few minutes.
To install our software, you need to place don't_let_it_burn.desktop in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus, don't_let_it_burn.sh in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin, and dont_let_it_burn.au in /home/YOUR_USERNAME/bin. It's important to note that you have to set the valid audio file supported by the apply command (e.g., wav or au). We have included dont_let_it_burn.au as a sample file, which you can use if you place it in the bin directory. However, if you want to use another file, modify dont_let_it_burn.sh and set a valid path in the variable FULL_PATH_TO_AUDIO_FILE.
Overall, DON'T Let It Burn! is a convenient software that's perfect for those who are always multitasking. It's lightweight and easy to use, with requirements only on KDE 3.5.x. Get it to avoid burning your food, once and for all.
