DSpeech is a TTS software that includes ASR functionality, allowing it to read text out loud and choose which sentences to speak based on the user's spoken responses.

The software's primary features include saving output as a Wav or Mp3 file, selecting different voices quickly, and synthesizing dialogues between multiple voices. DSpeech integrates a vocal recognition system that uses a simple script language to develop interactive dialogues with users. Additionally, users can configure voices independently and modify features like speed, volume, and frequency through specific TAGs during playback.
DSpeech allows users to capture and reproduce the content of the system's clipboard. It also supports all modern vocal engines compliant with SAPI4 or 5. For Windows XP users, no additional installations are required. Microsoft SAM is the default vocal engine, but Acapela, Cepstral, Loquendo, RealSpeak, and VoiceWare are some of the better vocal engines.
Windows NT4 / 2000 users must install MS-SAPI to use DSpeech. Users who intend to utilize the Speech Recognition features must download and install the MS-Recognition Engine. Overall, DSpeech is a powerful, versatile, and lightweight software that delivers a seamless TTS and ASR experience to users.
