I recently had the chance to test out Haenlein-Software's Eurorechner and must say, it has exceeded my expectations.
Upon visiting their website, I was pleased to find thorough information on the product, as well as a number of demo videos to showcase its functions. The Eurorechner is made up of two customizable toolbars within Excel, which can be easily adjusted to suit your needs.
The currency toolbar allows for conversions between any EU currency, simply by selecting the source and target currencies from the dropdown menu and clicking the arrow in the desired direction. Additionally, five customizable calculation options can be displayed as either text or a factor value.
The calculator toolbar consists of two groups of five buttons, which can be configured with calculation options of your choice. When hovering over the button, both text and factor value are displayed. To convert values, simply select the desired cells (even multiple groups) and click on the corresponding button.
The Eurorechner offers extensive customization options in the options window, including an undo feature that saves the cell contents (value or formula) in the cell's info window. The cell is marked with a red triangle, and all old contents can be viewed when hovering over the cell. The user has the ability to undo calculations step by step or delete the info entirely.
Other options include formatting tools, rounding options, formula treatment, and factor calculation. Formats can be retained or adjusted, rounding can be set to maximum accuracy or to a specific number of decimals, formulas can be skipped, prompted, or always converted, and up to five customizable factors can be set with corresponding text phrases.
Overall, I found the Eurorechner to be an incredibly useful tool and appreciated the level of customization available.
