EvalService evaluates any selected string as a mathematical expression.
EvalService is a powerful MacOSX service designed to evaluate mathematical expressions from any application. After downloading and uncompressing the software, simply drop the EvalService file into your ~/Library/Services folder and relogin to activate the service.
Once activated, you'll be able to select any string in any application and evaluate it using the Application->Services->Evaluate Expression menu. As an example, consider the following expressions:
- 54/34
- 16*(4.2/(2000-453.3))
- ceil(sin(23+34)+cos(1.24)^2)
EvalService supports a wide range of functions, including abs, cos, acos, sin, asin, tan, atan, atan2, deg, rad, log, log10, sqrt, frexp, ldexp, ceil, floor, max, min, mod, random, randomseed, and more.
