Fedora::Bugzilla

The Fedora::Bugzilla software is a Perl module designed to facilitate interaction with Fedora's bugzilla instance. This module utilizes the XML-RPC interface to bugzilla, which in itself is quite useful. While bugzilla 3.x is slowly improving their interface with modules such as WWW::Bugzilla3, Fedora's bugzilla implementation offers a much larger repository of custom methods. The aim of this module is to expose said methods in a more user-friendly manner.

In addition to the XML-RPC methods provided by Bugzilla, Fedora's bugzilla implementation also offers some features that are only accessible via the web/XML interfaces. These include functionality such as flags, attachments, and comments. The Fedora::Bugzilla module has been designed to expose these features as well. However, some functionality may be more expensive to invoke than others, due to a variety of reasons.

Nevertheless, the developers of this module strive to access each feature only when necessary. This helps to minimize the time and effort required while still making as many features available as possible. Finally, it must be said that while the software is known as Fedora::Bugzilla, it is in fact RedHat's bugzilla that this module interacts with. So, who knows, maybe someday...
